Replacement output relays for CARVER MXR-130, MXR-150, THE RECEIVER 900, 2000, 6250, HR-895 and many other receivers. If you have noise, intermittent output or complete loss of output of one or both channels, a bad output relay is likely the cause. These relays are drop-in replacements for the original parts, with specs that exceed the original (the original parts are no longer manufactured). Each receiver uses two relays, and we recommend replacing both relays at the same time. This listing is for a PAIR of RELAYS, so you can replace both relays on your receiver. The parts are brand new and will be shipped in protective packaging. The relays are UL Recognized. The listing is for the relays only, not the complete receiver.

If you have noise, intermittent output or complete loss of output of one or both channels through the loudspeakers, try listening to the unit through headphones. If the sound is clear through the headphones, you know it's the relay(s) or the output stage.

The parts can be replaced by a person with limited soldering skills. A soldering iron, solder wick and solder are needed to replace the parts. Use standard safety precautions (wear safety glasses, unplug the unit before soldering, etc) when working on your gear. When you're done soldering, always wash your hands because solder contains lead. Please note that replacing the relays will fix the receiver only if the relay was the problem to start with!
