Aquarellen WEIHNACHTS-ALBUM Dusseldorfer Kunstler was published in Leipzig during the late 1800s by Gustav Schulze. It is an album of 48 tipped-on color prints each measuring 8" x 5 3/4" with a gold border on heavy paper measuring 12 3/8" x 9 1/4". There is a contents page in German inside the front cover identifying the prints by title and artist. The list of prints on the plate inside the front cover indicates 60 plates were issued.
Subjects include landscapes, children, bucolic scenes, illustrations from literature, American Indians, scenes from other countries etc. Some of the prints are signed by artists including Achenbach, Beckmann, Eybe, Hubner, Kindler, Jordan, Kruger, Larson, Happel, Lindlar, Oppenheim, Simmler, Webb, Wallander, Knaus etc.
