I am selling a wonderful vintage cookbook today!
This cookbook came out of an estate we went to recently. The husband and wife had decided to downsize, and many of their personal items were being sold. The wife was passionate cook. Her kitchen and pantry were loaded with cookbooks from the 1950’s to the 2000’s. This cookbook is one of the treasures I found in the kitchen. This cookbook is titled

This cookbook is from Australia, it was published in 1996 by Angus & Robertson, an Australian division of HarperCollinsPublishers. How a cookbook that was published in Australia ended up in the middle of the United States is a mystery, but happily the recipes include measurements in both metric and American standards so any English-speaking person can cook from the book.
As the latter part of the title indicates, this cookbook is designed to make cooking and entertaining fun and easy for the hostess. The recipes are designed to be made in advance, so the host and hostess can truly enjoy their guests and relax with their company.
The cookbook is divided into 3 main chapters. Each of these is then broken into 3 sub-chapters. The first 2 main chapters group recipes by the seasons, first Spring & Summer, then Autumn & Winter. The third chapter covers casual and outdoor entertaining. Prep and finishing time are included with the recipes, plus a listing of any special equipment needed. As I mentioned previously, both American and metric measurements are listed, plus Celcius, Fahrenheit, and Gas Mark stove temperatures.
The cookbook is hard bound, and has its original dust jacket. This cookbook measures 8 1/2” wide by 9 1/4” high. It is 120 pages in length.
Condition is fantastic, even pristine! No sign of handling or use at all, the contents are absolutely pristine, as is the dust jacket. No odors of any kind, in case that’s important to you. Clean and complete from cover to cover, with no sign of use or wear at all.
A wonderful addition to your around-the-world cookbook library.
