Vintage Cufflink and Tie Bar Set  

This is a vintage Cufflink ( cuff link ) and Tie Bar Set that has a reverse painted dome shaped crystal intaglio of the Capitol Building in Washington DC on each Cufflink and the Tie Bar. The metal is silver colored but is not marked as Sterling or Silver Plate. It is probably circa 1900~1910, when this method of making jewelry was popular.

The area behind the white Capitol Building is blue ~ the shade of blue changes depending on the way the light shines through the Crystal dome.

The Tie Bar measures about 2 1/2 inches long X 3/8 inch wide. Each Crystal ( each Cufflink is 1 Crystal ) measures about 3/4 inch across X 1/4 inch high in the center.

This very unique, Rare Set is in Excellent condition!!
