DEVIL'S HERITAGE BY Hiroyuki Agawa Hokuseido Press, Tokyo, 1957 (First edition), Translated by John M Maki. 247 pages. Hard cover book with original dust jacket.

Paper dust jacket shows the most wear & in fair condition....ragged top edge, edge abrasion and corner wear. The blue cloth hard cover looks very good and inside pages are in good condition however they do have margin (age yellowing) to the pages as shown.

Inside the pages, I found a small slip of paper from the publisher, that reads: Presented with Compliments from The Hokuseido Press 12-3 Chome, Nishikicho, Kanda Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Phone: (29) 4532 (see photo)

Story: A native of Hiroshima who was absent at the time of the atomic bombing, the author has woven this novel, translated from Japanese, around the human consequences of the bombing. The novel is partly autobiographical and is written in a realistic style. It is critical of the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) for not providing treatment of the radiation victims while it studied them.

Lots of photos of the exact book you will receive.
