I had to list as VERY GOOD only because l can’t declare the set “AS NEW” because l don’t have the original box.
l bought this about 15 years ago from another collector on eBay. He had decanted the large box as issued before deciding to sell them for some daft reason. l received the discs in a cellophane holder and separate booklet. l have stored the six CDs like this since then in a padded envelope with the CDs in a plastic wallet, each individually divided by tissue paper. I was never able to find a six set Jewell case. I intend to send off in the post in a four CD case and a double case unless l can find 2 x 3 CDs matching pair, so they will travel safely in the post. The tall 44 page booklet is in very good+ shape with no yellowing, and will be protected packed together within a strong parcel box.
I am amazed at how rare this set has faired on the second hand open market. I have seen copies for well over €100 on sale. So with a future sale in mind l have played through all the CDs recently over a few days (yes it was a marathon) to check to see if l still felt l should still hang onto the set. All were in lovely condition and faultless.
To be honest l bought the set originally only because l only wanted some CD versions of the extracts of The Horsemen, Interlude, Women in Love, Nobody Runs Forever, Delerue’s TV works and similar titles that were not available on CD at the time. I have filled a lot of those gaps now, so l feel the set is up for grabs again.
