Up for bids is a 1970s Cox gas powered Adam 12 Patrol car in...well, kind of rough condition, at least internally. It may just need a good cleaning and a new hose, but I'm definitely no expert on these types of cars, though I do know there was a whole scene built around them back in the day, with custom tracks and slightly sketchy gambling rings and more!
The outer body is in decent shape, doesn't look like the headlights are intact, but otherwise it really just needs polished up. The tires have seem some use, but all four look fairly capable, with minimal wear and tear to them. The engine components are a bit rough. Looks like the last time this guy was fired up, it was stored away without being cleaned at all, and remained that way for decades. A good degreaser, a toothbrush and someone with far more knowledge and patience than myself can probably shine this bad boy right up, I'm just afraid I don't know enough about what I'm doing in there to clean it up without causing any damage to the components...The hose is clearly in need of replacing, but from what I understand from these types of cars, folks would keep piles of parts to swap back and forth, trying to build up the fastest custom whip, kind of like a super dangerous Beyblade. It seems like the bones are here for such a project, but if there's any other angles or close ups you need to see, please reach out and I'll be happy to help you out.
Your car will be carefully packed and shipped the day payment is received. If you have any questions or need to see any additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm happy to help. I'm a collector myself, so bid with confidence. Once items come into my hands, they are well cared for in a smoke free home. I take special care while packing my items as well, with chunky bubble wrap covering everything and tape on all sides, creating a safe watertight cradle for your items as they make their way to their new homes. Good luck and happy bidding!
