Up for sale is a highly collectible and authentic vintage Louis Vuitton Bucket Bag produced by The French Luggage Company under a special U.S. licensing agreement (active from the 1970s through 1991). Because these bags were manufactured domestically for high-end American department stores, they feature distinct, unique characteristics that set them apart from standard French-made pieces.
This bag is a true survivor and a fantastic addition for any vintage luxury collector!

KEY VINTAGE AUTHENTICITY FEATURES:
• Original Tyvek Internal Tag: Features the rare, intact yellow paper-like Tyvek label reading "Manufactured under special license to The French Co." inside the seam. (Many original owners cut these out, making this exceptionally rare!)
• Molded Plastic Feet: The base features the structurally correct four dark, dome-shaped plastic feet unique to The French Company’s bucket bag design.
• Caramel-Coated Leather: Features the characteristic pre-treated, water-resistant caramel-tan leather trim and center band.
• Period-Correct Hardware & Zippers: Built with unbranded, heavy-duty American hardware and internal pocket zippers typical of this era's production. No modern alpha-numeric date codes (which is correct, as this piece predates that stamping system).

• Canvas: The classic monogram canvas body is in beautiful, clean, and structurally sound condition with no major cracks or tears.
• Interior: The brown fabric lining is clean and free of heavy stains or odors. The internal pocket zipper functions properly.
• Leather Trim & Base: Shows typical signs of vintage wear, including light scuffing, minor cracking, and age-related rubbing along the bottom leather piping/trim.
• Straps & Buckles: Includes the regular dual handle straps and standalone roller buckles. The leather handles show cracking and wear but are fully functional. Please note: There is no long crossbody shoulder strap.
