This is an original piece I recently created in 2026. It is an acrylic painting on a wood plaque. The plaque measures 5 and 1/2 inches by 22 inches at its outside edges, so it is long and narrow. There is a ruler in one of the photos to show the size. This piece would work well hanging over a door. There are two metal sawtooth pieces in back for hanging. The edges are raised a bit, to form a sort of frame. The subject of the painting is La Sirene, a deity of the Vodou religion, who is a mermaid. She is shown playing with her snake friend, holding up a trumpet so they can enjoy some music. Some of her scales have a little bit of glitter to them, as does her seashell earring. This piece is fairly light weight. Winning bidder pays postage.
