Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein is a thrilling 1948 comedy horror that marked the final outing in the Universal Classic Horror series - featuring Frankenstein, the Werewolf, Dracula and the Invisible Man! The Wolf Man tries to warn a dim-witted porter that Dracula wants his brain for Frankenstein monster's body.
- Talbot: "Many years ago I was bitten by a werewolf. Now, whenever the full moon rises I turn into a wolf."
- Grey: "You and 20 million other guys!"
A rare re-appearance of Bela Lugosi as Dracula, alongside Vincent Price as the Invisible Man and Lon Chaney Jnr as the werewolf!
This is an original and very rare Belgian poster from the 1949 1st Belgian release. Universal Horror posters are some of the most sought after of all Belgian horror posters. This one is in very nice condition, with excellent colors and terrific artwork of the main cast!
The poster has had its white borders removed (common with many Belgian posters of the era) and was machine folded at one stage and has some light folds. There is some light writing on the back that doesn't show through. A minor chip in the top left. The poster is in great condition and has not faded (see photos for more detail) and displays very well. This poster is rarely advertised, and is considered the final in the monster cycle - following the similar crossovers House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula.
Measures 44 x 33 cm / 17 x 13 in (post-war Belgium size with blank borders neatly trimmed)
I will be advertising other rare Belgian posters in the near future!
