This auction is for a Vintage Meccano Construction Car No.2 Wind Up Race Car. It was made in England between 1933 and 1939. It is in very good condition. It is complete except for the cover plates on the underside of the car that are missing and the license plate holder is missing from the rear fender. It is all original except for one front fender marker light, and the Steering Drag Bar that connects the 2 front wheels on the underside and 2 wheels on side-2 that are reproduction replacement parts and the windshield is an exact high quality reproduction replacement windshield that is very hard to find. Everything else is original. I do not have the key for it. There are a couple screws missing from the sides. Nothing that is holding it together and it is very solid. When tested on a hard surface and winding it all the way up I was able to get it to run 3 or 4 feet with a slight push. The original hubs are swelled and crazed but they are still solid.
