"Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success." 🧭❄️ This distinguished bust captures Sir Ernest Shackleton (1874–1922) – the legendary British Antarctic explorer and merchant marine officer, whose extraordinary leadership during the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914–1916 became one of the greatest survival stories in history. When his ship Endurance was crushed by ice, Shackleton led his men across the frozen wastes and stormy seas to safety, losing not a single life. A symbol of courage, leadership, and the indomitable human spirit. Perfect for home offices, studies, libraries, and lovers of exploration and adventure.
