“DDU” (Delivered Duty Unpaid) is a legacy Incoterms term that is
still commonly used to describe shipments where import duties and taxes are
paid by the buyer. Under current Incoterms rules, DAP is generally the
appropriate term.
Under DAP, import duties, taxes, customs clearance charges,
brokerage fees, and other import-related charges are not included in the item
price or shipping cost and are the buyer’s responsibility.

Import Duties, Taxes, and Customs Clearance

Import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, and
any other charges imposed by the destination country, customs authority, or
carrier are the buyer’s responsibility.
These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost
and may be collected by FedEx, its customs broker, or the relevant customs
authority before or upon delivery.
Import charges vary depending on the destination country, HTS/HS
classification, country of origin, declared value, and applicable regulations.
We cannot guarantee or provide a final amount of import charges.
Please check with your local customs authority before purchasing if
you require an estimate.

For Buyers in the United States
For items valued over USD 2,500 shipped from Japan to the United
States, eBay’s current DDP requirement for lower-value shipments does not
apply. This item is therefore shipped under DAP terms, with applicable import
duties, customs charges, and related fees payable by the buyer.
Shipments valued at approximately USD 2,500 or more may be subject
to formal customs entry and additional U.S. Customs and Border Protection
clearance requirements.
FedEx, its customs broker, or U.S. Customs and Border Protection may
contact the buyer/importer and request additional importer information or
documentation, which may include an SSN, EIN, CBP Form 5106, Power of Attorney,
or other information required for customs clearance.
Please respond promptly to FedEx or its customs broker. Failure to
provide required information or payment may result in customs delays, storage
charges, return of the shipment, or other additional costs.
Any sales tax collected by eBay at checkout is separate from U.S.
import duties, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, or other import-related
charges.
For Buyers Outside the United States
Import duties, VAT/GST, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, and
other local charges are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated at
checkout.
Rates, thresholds, and customs procedures vary by country. Please
check your local import regulations before purchasing.
We do not under-declare the item value and we do not mark commercial

Returns / Cancellations
Returns are handled in accordance with the return policy shown in
this listing and applicable eBay policies.
If there is a significant issue with the item that was not described
in the listing, please contact us promptly after delivery.
Import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, and
other charges paid directly to customs authorities or carriers may not be
refundable.
If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, returned because import duties
or taxes were not paid, or returned because the buyer/importer did not provide
required customs information, any refund will be handled in accordance with
eBay policies.
Where permitted under eBay policies, actual non-refundable costs
resulting from the failed delivery or return—including original shipping,
return shipping, carrier handling charges, customs clearance charges, storage
charges, and re-import charges—may be deducted from the refund.
If the return is required because of an error on our part, we will
cover the return shipping cost in accordance with eBay policies.
