This is a lovely bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley in England.  The cup is decorated with a large pink rose on the interior and finished with a magenta burgundy color detailed and trimmed in gold - the saucer is similarly decorated.  The mark on the underside of each piece was used between 1934 and 1939.  Both pieces are hand inscribed with model number 1056.  The set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing and with minimal wear. It has a very nice ping to it when hit.  The saucer measures 5 5/8” in diameter, and the cup has a height of 2 1/8” and a top diameter of 3 3/4”.
