This is a historic 1906–1908 Cleveland, Ohio Municipal Traction Co. streetcar token.

Historical Significance: This token comes from a highly turbulent period in Ohio's transit history. Cleveland Mayor Tom L. Johnson fiercely campaigned for a public, municipal streetcar network to battle private monopolies. His goal was to provide an incredibly cheap, flat 3-cent fare for regular working-class riders. These tokens were mass-produced to keep the streetcar lines moving efficiently without conductors manually counting loose pennies.

Composition: These streetcar tokens were mass-stamped out of lightweight aluminum by early industrial manufacturers.

Condition: Vintage-Adult preowned. Normal age wear; patina.

NOTE: Photos show the actual condition from multiple angles. Please review them closely to verify overall condition, as they are part of the description. Any notable flaws will be shown.
