ACTUAL SMALL PIECE OF U.S.S. CONSTITUTION "OLD IRONSIDES" REMOVED DURING 1973 OVERHAUL  

This small piece is a collector's item.  It is an actual piece of wood from the CONSTITUTION. The piece was removed in 1973 during the ship's overhaul.   The piece is about 1 1/4 inch wide, 1/8 inch high, and 3/8 inch deep and has a cardboard easel for standing. It comes with a copy of the ORIGINAL Certificate of Authenticity - please see the last picture.  

This item makes a great display or special gift.
