- Instantly extend your reach to 560mm with the built-in 1.4x teleconverter by flipping the switch. Integrated within the lens housing, it's optically matched for improved imaging and maintains weather sealing. Transforming this 400mm f/2.8 into an effective 560mm f/4 lens, it offers versatility with enhanced imaging performance.
- The fast f/2.8 aperture excels in low light and offers control over depth of field for subject isolation. The lens, with two ED and one Super ED glass elements, two fluorite elements, and an SR element, virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations and color fringing. The SR element, designed for short-wavelengths, enhances color accuracy and contributes to a more compact lens design. Achieve accurate color rendering with this advanced optical system.
- The Meso Amorphous Coat, a recent development, provides the highest anti-reflective performance in NIKKOR lenses. Surpassing Nano Crystal Coat for diagonal light and matching ARNEO Coat for vertical light, it ensures comprehensive anti-glare protection. ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coats further suppress ghosting and flare, ensuring higher contrast and accurate color response in strong lighting and backlit scenarios. Experience unparalleled optical excellence with this advanced anti-reflective technology.
