THIS AUTHENTIC NAVAJO MADE RESERVATION WEAVING IS MADE FROM 100% HAND SPUN, HAND CARDED AND HAND WOVEN NAVAJO SHEEP WOOLS (GREY IS CHURRO SHEEP WOOL). VEGETAL AND ANILINE DYES AND/OR WOOL CARDING WERE USED TO MAKE THE MANY COLOR TONES WITHIN THIS WEAVING. SEE ALL PICS FOR DESCRIPTION. THIS WEAVING DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY AS IS / IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR AGE (SEE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS FOR MORE DETAILS).
The size of this RUG / textile is approximately 52” X 23” with a wool warp of about 9-10 and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 32-34 (A TIGHT, THICK AND DURABLE WEAVE). The End Selvage cords are 100% present and intact (a braid of two, 2-ply black yarns). The Side Selvage Cords are 100% present as well, with no loss to edges (a twist of two, 2-ply BLUE wool yarns). The corners are in excellent shape overall, and the 4 corner ties are present with some minor wear. There is No Rotted Wool, No Unusual Odor, No notable or uneven fade, No Stains, No holes, No moth/bug damage. Rug is clean and ready to display as is, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR AGE.
