A nice example of an ichthyosaur fossil from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Lyme Regis, Dorset UK.

The piece of jaw measures 34mm (1.35 inches) long and 8mm thick, meaning it is from a large adult ichthyosaur that would have been several metres long. It is very well preserved with a high level of detail in the bone structure.

These fossils were first found by pioneering Victorian fossils hunters like Mary Anning. Ichthyosaur bones are very popular fossils from this location.

Around 198 million years old (Sinemurian, Early Jurassic), this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.

Combined shipping: I offer combined shipping on all of my fossils. If you wish to purchase multiple fossils, just send a message to let me know and I can hold any order open for up to 25 days from the first auction win/purchase for more fossils to be added to the order. After you have finished adding items to an order, let me know and I will combine the shipping to the lowest amount possible for your items.

The shipping cannot be combined automatically due to the large variation in weight of the fossils and the costs of different weight classes of the Royal Mail.
