If something communicates peoples among themselves, it is the language of art, which Malraux defined as "what makes man aware of his own greatness". With this idea, the Odebrecht Organization wanted to offer Ecuador this exhibition of one of the most representative painters of Brazil, the master Di Cavalcanti.

Emiliano Di Cavalcanti (Rio de Janeiro 1897 - 1976) is not only one of the pinnacles of Brazilian art, but also helped to lay the foundations for Brazilian identity in this segment. He participated in a movement that, in the first decades of this century, would allow him to cross the entrance to the new aesthetic currents of the world, and throughout his life he built a work that in the history of Latin American art has acquired the character of emblematic.

The sense of social responsibility that guides the Odebrecht Organization and its constant search for integration with the community where it operates motivated the sponsorship of this exhibition, together with the Embassy of Brazil, of the "most Brazilian painter", as Di Cavalcanti was called by the poet Vinicius de Moraes.
