Antique Twisted Wire Stove Lid Lifter 13.25" Wood Coal Cook Stove Primitive Tool

Wonderful antique twisted wire stove lid lifter measuring approximately 13 1/4" long.

This unusual old household tool was designed for use with a wood- or coal-burning cookstove, allowing the user to lift and handle hot stove lids and covers without getting too close to the heated surface.

It has a particularly interesting all-wire construction with a long double-wire handle, decorative twisted center section and multiple formed hooks at the working end. The dark aged surface and patina give it a wonderful primitive appearance.

Excellent antique condition with no major damage noted. Shows expected surface oxidation and wear consistent with age and use. No maker's mark found.

A great early kitchen or cookstove collectible and an especially nice piece for primitive, farmhouse or country kitchen display.
