Vintage Mason Magic Scoop ice cream dipper made by L.E. Mason Co., Boston, Massachusetts.

This unusual mid-century kitchen utensil measures approximately 8" long and is made of heavy cast aluminum. The scoop has a distinctive raised/dimpled bowl designed to help release the ice cream.

The handle is marked MASON MAGIC SCOOP / L.E. MASON CO. BOSTON, MASS. / PAT. APP'D FOR.

Even better, the hooked end of the handle doubles as a bottle opener. The small Phillips-head screw and attached opener piece are part of the design.

Very good vintage condition with normal surface wear, scratches and oxidation consistent with age and use. Please see photos closely for exact condition.

A fun piece of 1950s kitchen gadget history and a great collectible for vintage kitchenware or ice cream enthusiasts.
