Vintage 1902 Photo Album German Navy SMS Panther Logbook with 37 Albumens Photographs

SMS Panther was a German gunboat launched in 1901 and commissioned in March 1902. As an Iltis-class ship of the Kaiserliche Marine, it weighed 1,675 tons and carried a crew of around 130 officers and men. The ship took part in several notable international incidents early in the 20th century, including the sinking of a Haitian gunboat and the blockade of Venezuela.

Album measures 8 by 6.25 inches. Album has come from the binding and many of the pages are fraying at the edge. Some of the pages do not have photographs as there are loose photos. Photos vary in size from full page to half page ones. Some of the photos are partially stuck in the album at the top of the photo. Even those have descriptions on the reverse side that can be read. All the photos have detailed description on the reverse side in German.
