Lieutenant Kei Yuri of the Japanese Imperial Army was condemned to be hanged by a United States Military Commission today for ordering the bayonet execution of one American and permitting the starvation and death of another.
The men for whose death he was tried were Noah Hurd of Salinas, California, and Corporal James Pavlokas of Chicago.
This photo was made in Tokyo on December 28 at the start of this trial.
