Vintage Print of Mary Magdalene by Alonso Cano on thick paper. This is a print of the original held in the British Museum. Whilst this picture has some very light toning, the dark toning and marks that you see are those from the original art work. You will be able to compare them and match these marks. Whilst this print appears vintage and not antique, I can find no other examples of prints of this artwork, and therefore believe there to be only a very few made. From the loose small cut text paper that came with this (see 2nd photo), it looks as if this may have been printed by the museum? This text reference the museum number for this piece of 1910 02 12 44.
It is mounted on backing card. The backing card has toning.
The picture measures 25.5cm x 20cm with the backing card, the picture on its own measures 16cm x 14cm.
