Interesting example both the entry and the exit of the mud are evident on the surface side this could be the result of moulting at the larger end and crawling away leaving a lumpy trail and surfaced leaving a flap of mud where it came out. The dimple in the mud about an inch away is where it went under. Any surface tracks were most likely washed away by the tide.

Fossils found near the Ohio River in Southern Indiana.

Found in natural state, we only washed the dirt off of them.

We think was from the Mississippian in age, from the Tar Springs Formation, over 300 million years old.
