VINTAGE SOVIET SSh-68 STEEL HELMET – SIZE 2 – ORIGINAL USSR ARMY 

A genuine Soviet Army SSh-68 steel combat helmet, the standard-issue helmet of the USSR Armed Forces from the late 1960s through the end of the Soviet era. Its rounded shape and flared rim make it one of the most recognizable helmets of the Cold War.

🔹 Model: SSh-68 (СШ-68)

🔹 Size: 2, stamped inside the rim. SSh-68 shells were made in sizes 1, 2 and 3, and size 2 is the middle size.

🔹 Material: pressed steel shell

🔹 Color: original olive green matte finish

🔹 Liner: 4-petal liner pads with cotton adjustment laces

🔹 Chin strap: leather with metal buckle

🔹 Markings: embossed size and number inside the rim plus factory ink stamps, including "699"

📋 CONDITION

✅ Shell is in very good vintage condition with a solid, even paint finish

✅ The outside has light storage marks and small scuffs

✅ Liner pads are intact, with stitching in place. There is some light white surface bloom from long-term storage, which is typical for these helmets.

✅ Cotton laces and leather chin strap are in good condition
