1953 Westinghouse Trafford Foundry Family Day Cast Iron Trivet 50th Anniversary

Vintage 1953 Westinghouse Electric Trafford Foundry Family Day cast iron trivet, produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Trafford Foundry in Trafford, Pennsylvania.

The front is beautifully cast with “TRAFFORD FOUNDRY – FAMILY DAY – 1953” surrounding an industrial foundry image. The handle incorporates the classic Westinghouse “W” logo.

Westinghouse established its Trafford, Pennsylvania foundry in 1903. This commemorative trivet was distributed in connection with the foundry's 50th anniversary Family Day celebration in 1953.

The trivet measures approximately 8 1/2" long x 4 3/4" across and stands on three short cast feet.

It is in exceptionally nice vintage condition, especially considering it is more than 70 years old. The cast details and lettering remain crisp and attractive with no cracks, breaks or other damage noted. Please see photos for exact condition.
