I bought these at an estate sale and the Daughter told me that these were given to her late father Shaler Halimon see biography below, when he played for the Original first Trailblazers. I have 1 other pair and they also have his name on the box so I have no doubt what she told was the truth. She said shoe companies were always giving her father shoes. This is just one of those pairs.

Shaler Halimon (1945–2021) was an original member of the Portland Trail Blazers' inaugural 1970-71 team. A 6'5" guard from Utah State, he played five seasons in the NBA/ABA, including a season with Portland where he averaged 8.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He later lived in Oregon and worked for years as a TriMet bus driver.
