Rare Antique Victorian 12kt Gold Plated Pince Nez or Spectacles with Original Case, c1885

This wonderful pair of pince nez has a bridge and frame that has been made using a gold plated metal. There are pads that fit each side of the nose, one has side is missing the applied cushion pad. The lenses have a strong magnifying quality, so will have been prescription lenses. The bridge is embossed with '1/10  12KT'. The pince nez are in good antique condition.

The case has a dark red leather covering with a dark red silk velvet interior. There is gilt tooled Art Nouveau lettering with makers information to the top of the case, it reads: Rayner. There is a further label that reads: REWARD IF RETURNED TO RAYNER AND KEELER LTD. 39, GRANBY ST. LEICESTER.The case is in GOOD used condition. 

A great collectable.
