Installation and compliance Hercules operates on a 230V mains supply and drives the heaviest gates in the range. Installation must be carried out by a competent person and wired in accordance with BS 7671. Powered gates in the UK fall within the scope of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, and responsibility for force testing and risk assessment on the completed installation rests with the installer. Photocells are the minimum safety device on any powered gate and are not optional on a leaf of this size. Where a kit level without photocells is selected, a pair must be added. A gate of this mass should also be fitted with safety edges to the leading and closing edges. Both are available from us; see our other items. |
