A striking and uncommon circa-1970s NAVY automatic wristwatch with classic skin-diver styling and outstanding period character.

The approximately 38mm cushion-shaped case surrounds a highly graphic black dial featuring an oversized luminous 12, aged baton markers, a red outer chapter ring, broad red-and-white hands, central sweep seconds and a framed date window at 3 o’clock beneath a magnifying lens. A rotating blue-and-silver bezel completes its bold vintage tool-watch appearance.

The caseback is stamped 1470 and marked “Dustproof,” “Stainless Steel Back” and “Antimagnetic.” No military-issued provenance is claimed.

The automatic movement is running and the watch is working well for a vintage timepiece. Its service history, long-term accuracy and power reserve have not been documented.

Presented in honest vintage condition with scratches, scuffs, plating wear and pitting around the case, marks and age-related wear to the crystal, naturally aged luminous material and wear to the bezel. The vivid blue leather strap and buckle appear to be later replacements and show noticeable wear and fraying near the lugs. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.

Water resistance has not been tested. Despite its vintage diver styling, the watch should be kept away from water.
