Offering an early pipe from GALEN’S ORIGINAL. I have not been able to find the maker, I’m guessing GALEN’S was a pipe shop, or name of a carver, and the examples I found all had ORIGINAL and IMPORTED BRIAR stampings. This one has an “M” on the bottom of the shank as well. The pipe is a 3/4 bent large billiard, with classic “s” curve. The bowl has a natural stain, golden brown, and shows off some nice looking birdseye and cross-grain. I find no fills, and no issues, it’s in great shape overall. The interior is well seasoned, it draws easy, with the draw-hole bottom rear center. The stem is made of a vulcanite, has very minor tooth marks, is in great shape. Weighs in at about 1.42 ounces, 40.1 grams. It’s been freshly polished and is ready to smoke!
