An unusual and highly distinctive pair of British Mid-Century linking / stacking chairs, designed by Clive Bacon and manufactured by Design Furnishing Contracts Limited, Banbury, England.
The chairs feature solid/beech-toned wooden frames, curved back supports and black upholstered/PVC seats and backrests. Their characteristic shaped frame joints form part of the original “Jigsaw” linking design, allowing chairs of this type to be joined together.
The Clive Bacon Jigsaw chair dates from the Mid-Century period and is a recognised example of British contract furniture design.
Original manufacturer’s DFC label present: “Design Furnishing Contracts Limited – Made in Banbury, England.”

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with expected age-related wear, marks and scratches to the wooden frames and upholstery.
Please note that there is one small cracking/chipping to the timber around one of the shaped upper frame joints, shown clearly in the photographs, but does not affect the use or solidity.
