Readers Digest AA Book of the Road 1966 with Vinyl Cover, Inserts etc Perfect Condition
This is a bit of motoring nostalgia from 1966. The Readers Digest Automobile Association Book of the Road was a go-to atlas in its day.
This copy is in nigh-perfect condition from 1966. There are no marks or blemishes to the interior pages. It has its original vinyl protective sleeve and additional inserts.
Take a look at the pictures to see the range of information that it contains. There are lists of old cars you’d have expected to see on the roads in this and a previous era. There is information about birds and roadside plants and flora and fauna. Of course it includes town plans, a gazetteer of place names, major routes and junctions in a linear format, but so much more as well.
It’s not just maps, you can discover how an engine works, camber, toe-in and toe-out, loads to keep you and your passengers occupied as you tear up the three-lane M6 in your Mark 1 Lotus Cortina.
