A charming antique Victorian mahogany dining chair featuring elegant proportions, turned front legs and an attractive shaped back with decorative carved central splat detail. The chair is upholstered in a traditional patterned fabric which complements the rich mahogany frame beautifully.

Constructed with quality craftsmanship throughout, the chair would work equally well as a dining chair, occasional chair, desk chair or bedroom chair. The warm mahogany colour and pleasing patina developed over time add to its period character and appeal.

Condition

Good overall condition for its age. The chair is strong, sturdy and ready for use. There are some light age-related marks to the upholstered seat together with general signs of use consistent with its age. This chair has a small historic repair to the top corner of the backrest, as shown in the photographs.

Overall, the chair presents very well and remains a practical and attractive piece of antique seating.
