Qing Dynasty Chinese Box. I am unsure if this is a vintage reproduction or genuine cinnabar lacquer, please see the last few photographs with more zoomed in features showing some light cracking to a top paint layer and striation / layers. I cannot tell if this is lacquer layers or carved wood, hopefully you are able to determine this. The bottom part of the box is lined with brass, the lid does not have this lining. There is some ingrained dust in crevices, and a very small dent in the top brass rim on the inside of the box. There is some light surface wear to this box, and some marks and wear to the inside black paint. There are some wear and deeper scratches to the underside of the box where it has been moved on surfaces. The lid fits on the box very well.
It measures 14cm long x 9.5cm deep x 6.5cm tall.
