29 Antique Giotto di Bondone Prints by the Arundel Society 1853-59. Engraved by the Dalziel Brothers in England after a design by W. Williams. I am unsure if these are the original woodcut engavings, but from my research these appear correct. Please study the photos to determine this.
There are some duplicates and some missing. This lot includes plates; 3,4,6,7,8,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29 & 30, and there are 2 of: 31,32,33,34 & 37.
If you scroll down you will see photos of each of the prints. As you can see most have have foxing , some light and some darker, but if framed with a mount will not be as obvious. Many borders have tears and 2 have tears that go a bit into the picture, the rest are confined to the edges, there are some with corner creases. All have some toning and dirt marks. The paper feels old and a bit brittle. Plate 37 has a gouge out of the border (paper missing).
They measure 44.5cm x 57cm.
