1607 Map of County of Radnor by Christoper Saxton. There is Latin text at the back indication this was the first ever printing for Brittania. The map itself is in very good condition with bright colours. It has slight toning, a center crease from being in the atlas and a few other light surface creases and light surface wear. There is not foxing or tears.
It is framed in a double sided sandwich glass frame so that you can see both sides. The back glass unfortunately has a crack, but not visible when hung showing the front of the map, or you can reframe it if desired. I have reinforced the back with extra masking tape around the outside to keep this firmly in place. The frame has some wear and scratches. Being a double sided glass frame it is heavy. If you do not want the frame and want to save on postage, I can remove the map and post it on its own.
In its frame it measures 47.5cm x 52cm. The map on its own measures circa 32.5cm x 41.5cm.
