Unusual and Rustic Impasto Clown Painted on Board by Alvaro Rodriguez "Rodrig". It is such an unusual shape being very long and thin measuring 93cm x 12cm. The clown is very appealing and has been produced with heavy impasto. It is difficult to capture the deep texture with the photos, but has alot of depth.
The painting is in generally good condition with light surface wear. Paint from paitning the frame on white has ended up in areas on the painting, but this is only in some areas, and as the painting is so busy and textured, it is not obvious and seems part of the work.
The frame is rustic and imperfect, and in my opinion compliments the painting. It is a bit worn with marks, surface wear and some scratches. The picture has a bit of movement inside the frame but it is not significant.
