Photo originally in the collection of Pam Morris, a G&S superfan in the 1960s-1980s.

A 20.8cm x 15.7cm publicity shot showing John Reed in costume as Ko-Ko in The Mikado, sitting with Peter Noone, lead singer of Herman's Hermits who is being served champagne by John Sykes of the New Theatre, Oxford.  Believed to have been taken in August 1972 when the D'Oyly Carte were playing in that theatre and Peter Noone was probably in the building ahead of his appearance in panto there later in the year.  The photo was signed by John Reed only.  In superb condition, the warped photo has few other signs of wear.  (NB: Thanks to members of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Facebook for their help in pinning down this photo.)
