The elaborate openwork structure features an antiqued gold finish with ornate scrolling filigree, floral medallions, leaf and architectural details, twisted wire accents, decorative columns and an elaborate crown-like finial. The semicircular platform provides a generous stage for creating an impressive holiday or year-round display.

The craftsmanship is especially impressive when viewed up close. Layers of pierced and applied metalwork create an almost lace-like effect, while the substantial weight and scale give the piece considerable presence.

CONDITION

Pre-owned vintage/retired decorative piece with age-appropriate surface variation, patina and minor wear to the hand-finished gold surface. Please examine the close-up photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description. The underside shows expected surface marks from display and storage.

The intricate metalwork has a deliberately aged, Old World appearance; variations in the gold finish are part of its character rather than a uniformly polished finish.
