Up for auction is an original, authentic vintage Lehmann "Dare Devil" (EPL 752 / Teufels Kerl) tin lithograph clockwork toy, manufactured in Germany.

​Condition & Functionality: Fully functional clockwork motor. When wound, the cart rolls forward while the driver tilts dynamically back and forth as if trying to rein in the wild zebra.

​Completeness: Excellent structural condition for its age. Retains the original string reins, string tail, and both original painted tin ears (frequently missing on this model).

​Markings: Lithographed with "Teufels Kerl", "Made in Germany", patent dates, and the classic Lehmann globe trademark (Marke 1881) with EPL 752 model designation.

​Litho & Wear: Vibrant colors throughout, including the green sombrero and red cart panels. Displays light, natural age wear, minor surface scratching, and expected mild oxidation typical of early 20th-century tinplate.
