Programme for the premiere production of Noel Coward's play “Hay Fever” which opened at the Ambassador's Theatre in London on 8 June 1925, transferring to the Criterion Theatre on 7 September 1925 and finally chalking up a run of 337 performances. This Criterion programme features Marie Tempest as Judith Bliss on the cover and also includes a photograph of a scene from the play and a portrait of W. Graham Brown who played David Bliss. Most of the cast had appeared on the opening night but two players, Jill Esmond Moore and Robin Irvine listed here had taken over since opening night. In lovely condition, the 5.5” by 8.5” programme has 20 pages and shows the most minor signs of wear, with some neat annotations on front and back covers.

Also in the cast were Hilda Moore, Athole Stewart, Ann Trevor, Patrick Susands and Minnie Rayner.
