Programme for a production of J.M. Barrie's play “Mary Rose” at the Shaw Theatre in London which opened on 13 July 1972 and ran for only around 20 performances as part of a wider UK tour. Film actress Mia Farrow played the title role with Ralph Bates in the double role of Harry and Simon Blake. Also in the cast were Carmel McSharry, Oliver Ford-Davies, Ann Way, Lee Fox and Roy Sampson. The music was composed by Sir John Taverner, one of Britain's best-known contemporary classical composers - his use of electronic music in this production was noted in a contemporary review. The unusual 10.4cm by 29.5cm format is unusual. The 12-page programme has a central crease, an annotation and other small signs of wear.
