In 1943 Irving Berlin's all-soldier musical show “This Is The Army”, which had been touring the world, reached the London Palladium, where it gave a few performances. The charity show was a revue featuring serving army personnel, but the highlight was surely an appearance by the composer himself on stage singing "Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning”. The 8.5cm by 20.3cm triptych-style programme has a message from Army General Jacob L. Devers on the cover and gives full details of the numbers and performers on the bill. In fair condition with some signs of wear, including a scuff on the back cover and an annotation with a date on the front showing that it was owned by somebody who saw the show on 17 November 1943.
