I would encourage any prospective buyers who may be concerned about modest ebay feedback numbers on this (thegearjunkieau’) account to have a look at my older - and still very much current - US-based account which can be viewed at, ‘thegearjunkie’ (so just drop the ’au’ portion of the handle) as that account has been active for well over twenty years and has maintained a flawless 100% positive feedback rating with over 600 sales transactions of primarily audio and music gear much of which has also been “rare and vintage”.. The ebay system would not allow for that account to be used for transactions that would ship from Australia, so after relocating to Sydney and then well over two years of arguing with ebay about the aforementioned constraints, I had no choice but to spin up a new account and begin acquiring feedback anew.
Buyer will receive thorough and unambiguous communications documenting all steps up until the parcel is handed over to Australia Post (the only pre-calculated option ebay provides) and will receive tracking numbers as soon as it leaves.
If the buyer wishes not to use the pre-calculated (and somewhat bulk discounted) ebay shipping mechanism and wishes instead to use a personal Fedex, DHL or other third party carrier account, this will need to be discussed prior to transacting and if established, done so with the full understanding that the practice of using an off-platform shipping label provided by a buyer is strongly discouraged. Doing so forfeits key protections for both buyer and seller including (but not limited to) valid tracking for, "item not received", cases.
