Early 1950’s Swiss Elgin Mens Dress Watch, Patina Dial, Cal. 791, Runs well!

Ready to wear! Winds and runs well, new crystal and new leather band. The 34mm case makes it easier to wear than the smaller 30-32mm cases of that era.

Very unique, one-of-a-kind patina linen dial, aged to perfection.

This is a historic watch that marks the transition period of the early 1950’s for Elgin when they transitioned from American made watches to Swiss made watches. 

Vintage Elgin dress watch with a Swiss 17-jewel manual-wind movement, and silver tone hands and indices on a patina linen dial. Features a new leather band, acrylic crystal, stainless steel case, and a screw-down case back.

The Elgin calibre 791 movement was based on the AS 1525/1526 and dates this watch the early 1950’s.
