Vintage Goebel porcelain chaffinch bird figurine made in West Germany. This colorful bird has a gray head, warm peach colored breast, and detailed black, gray & white wings and is perched on a sculpted tree stump. The base retains its original identification label and Goebel West Germany makers mark. Impressed number 3812715

Good vintage condition with one small flea bite chip on the upper wing, shown in 4th from last photo. There is also a separate raised spot on the opposite wing, lower down (in the dark feather area) that appears to be something that occurred during manufacturing and painting. I have inspected this spot closely, fearing that it was a chip, but it looks to be an original glaze or paint irregularity.
