The women are dressed in typical period utility attire, featuring structured high-collared light blouses, dark practical ankle boots, and full-length checkered plaid and solid protective work aprons or pinafore day dresses.

The background features a dense canopy of mature citrus trees alongside a rustic, open-sided wooden packing shed thatched with heavy palm fronds or dried corn stalks, while a large multi-wheeled wooden horse-drawn transport wagon or field plow assembly sits resting on the dirt lane on the right.
